Performance and live art festival "Creature Live Art", for three consecutive days invited the fans of the genre to the Kaunas gallery Meno Parkas, Town Hall square and its premises for open conversations. Performative processes did not speak in verbal language, but with sincere feelings and deep inner experiences.

After the proposal from the Ministry of Culture to change the law on institutions of Lithuanian theatre and concert halls, there appeared the variety of concerns. The country may lose distinctive actor troupes, it may destroy the repertory theatre, and all theatres will become commercial. Do these concerns have a basis? Greta Cholina who has experience in leading an independent budget theatre claims that all Lithuanian theatres are commercial already.

Hygin Delimat is a dancer, choreographer and a performance artist from Poland at the moment residing in Austria. In his works artists combines yoga, the Fendelkrais method, break dance. In Lithuania H. Delimat presents Kaunas Dance Theatre Aura performance "White on White." Before the premiere choreographer agreed to share his ideas and future plans.

Method of Michael Chekhov: tools of role characterisation 2015-01-05

The process of characterisation is focused on the use of external means and concentrated images striving for the internal reaction of the body in which new psychological nuances and statuses close to the portrait of the created role are disclosed. This principle indicates the specific kid of methodology which refers to the fact that the main load is on the physical access and process of visualisation rather than the psychological analysis of the role.

New year, old wheels 2014-12-29

The second premiere of the 95th season of the National Kaunas Drama Theatre embodying the slogan “History – anew!” is one more return of a play staged at the beginning of the eighth decade. While “Barbora” was staged by the director Jonas Jurašas himself for the second time, the performance “Biography: A Game” created by Vytautas Čibiras in 1974 could not be repeated by the same director. The new version of “Biography: Acting” returns the director Gintaras Varnas to NKDT and the theatre history.
