“Let’s Save Love” is the last performance directed by A. Jankevičius from the trilogy staged according to works of the Canadian writer Daniel Denis (“Song of Dir Diro” (“The Last Song of Durans”), 2009 and “Stone Ashes”, 2010). The loyalty to one author and the recognisable director’s style makes A. Jankevičius one of the most interesting young directors creating at Kaunas Drama Theatre.

“HAMLET” OF OKT RETURNED FROM GIRONA 2012-11-07

The performance sounded really well. The dialogues were so lively, the audience reacted to every nuance, understood the idea of the director and approved of each attempt of actors sensitively. It was the seeing and hearing audience. It was clear that the performance was created not only by the director and actors but also by the audience.

The pavilion of our country was evaluated by silver medal in the honourable international forum. The award was granted by the independent experts’ committee formed by the International Bureaux of Exibitions in the category of small pavilions for the creatively revealed main theme of the exhibition “The Living Ocean and Coast”. The gold medal in this category was granted to the Philippines, and bronze went to Mexico. The exposition of Lithuania received such high award in EXPO exhibitions for the first time.

PROFESSIONAL, HIGH-MINDED, STRICT 2012-11-14

The theatre critic, culture journalist, editor, translator, teacher and public activist Vida Savičiūnaitė died a year ago (she was born in Virsnis village, Anykščiai district on January 15, 1956 and died on November 17, 2011 in Kaunas, was buried in Viešintai Old Cemetery in the family grave). Memories of several people of culture who knew the late editor-in-chief of www.kamane.lt well are published in the article.
