Viktoras Valašinas was born in Maironiai village, Joniškis region on June 24, 1944. In 1961 he graduated from Pasvalys Secondary School. V. Valašinas studied at Kaunas Institute of Medicine, Faculty of Treatment for three years. In 1965 he entered the Lithuanian State Conservatory, Faculty of Actors' Art (lecturers - Galina Jackevičiūtė, Leonidas E. Lurjė). Studying in the third course, he was invited to work at Kaunas Drama Theatre. Between 1968-1994 he was an actor of KSADT. In 1994-1998 he worked as Kaunas Plus TV programme director. From 1998 to 2016 he was the director of Kaunas Artists’ House.
