Sigitas Šidlauskas was born in Anykščiai on the 5th of October, 1974. In 1993–1996 he studied at the Higher Theatre School of Kaunas State Drama Theatre (supervisor Viktoras Šinkariukas). In 1998 he completed Bachelor’s studies of art criticism at Vytautas Magnus University. In 2000 he acquired the Master’s degree in art criticism at Vytautas Magnus University. Since 2000 he has been acting at Kaunas State Drama Theatre and in projects of Mens Publica. S.Šidlauskas and the actress G.Piktytė founded the public institution Mens Publica together.
