Eugenijus Miliūnas was born in Panevėžys on September 8, 1952. In 1975 he graduated from Vilnius Engineering and Construction Institute and obtained the architect’s specialty. In 1980-97 he worked as an architect of Miestprojektas AB in Kaunas, from 1991 he headed the 8th design department. In 1995 he lectured at the Art Faculty of Vytautas Magnus University, in 1996 – at the Department of Architecture of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (docent). From 1993 he is a lecturer at Kaunas Art Institute of VAA, Department of Architecture (docent). From 1992 he is heading the private design company E. Miliūno Studija. From 1977 Eugenijus Miliūnas belongs to the Lithuanian Architects’ Union, he was a member of Kaunas Branch board (1978-97).

1975 – diploma of the second degree of the former USSR AU for the project of “Experimental residential house”.

1981 – diploma of the former USSR AU during Young Architects Creative Works Review.

1984 – award of “The Best Project of the Year” of the former LSSR AU for M.Žilinskas Art Gallery in Kaunas.

1986 – diploma of the second degree of the former USSR AU during the 9th Soviet Union Young Architects Creative Works Review.

1986 - diploma of the former USSR AU for the winner of the Soviet Union Review for the shop “Rėda”.

1987 – silver medal of the former USSR during the Exhibition of National Economy Achievements “For Achievements Developing USSR National Economy” (for the shop “Rėda”).

1990 – nomination of the Lithuanian Architects’ Union for receiving the national prize.

1992 – award for Šiauliai St. Jesus Heart Catholic Church at the exhibition-contest “The Best Project of the Year”.

1992 – award for the best realisation of the year (monument for the rebels of June of 1941 in the former old graveyard) at the exhibition-contest “The Best Project of the Year”.

1994 – diploma of LAU, Kaunas Branch, for the best realisation of a public building “Lita-West” in 1994.

1999 – art prize of the Government of RL for “The Most Important Works for Lithuanian Art and Culture”

1999 – award of the year of the magazine “Archiforma” for Catherine Convent in Šilainiai, Kaunas.

2000 – award for the best architectural realisation (Catherine Convent in Kaunas) at the exhibition-contest “The Best Project of the Year”.

2000 – gratitude of Kaunas County Chairman’s Administration for “Works implementing the project of Catherine Convent in Kaunas in 2000”.

2003 – diploma for the Sports and Cultural House in Kaunas (2002) at the exhibition “Lithuanian Architecture in 2000-2003. Look at Oneself”.
