Rimas Adomaitis was born in Kaunas on September 15, 1976. In 1981-1990 he studied at Kaunas 44th Secondary School and in 1990-1994 – at Kaunas Applied Arts school. Between 1996-2000 he studied at Vilnius Art Academy, Kaunas Art Institute, where he acquired the architect’s specialty. From 1997 he worked as an architect in the design studio “Vila” and from 1999 – at the architects' office “G.Natkevičius and Partners”. Since 2004 he has been heading the private architects’ office “RA Studio”, he designs objects of high importance, residential houses and interiors.
Awards, Achievements
2000 – for the best project of the year (project of Vilniaus Bankas, Kėdainiai branch) at the exhibition-contest “The Best Project of the Year” along with Gintautas Natkevičius, Jonita Šyvokienė, Artūras Asauskas, R. Bridžiuvienė.
2002 – the prize of “Archiforma” for the best architectural work of 2001 (school at Meteliai regional park), along with G. Natkevičius.
2003 – the great award METRE 1/5 (for the private house in Kaunas, Lukšio Str.) at the architecture exhibition "A Look at Oneself", along with G. Natkevičius.
2003 – for the best architectural realisation (complex of 3 private houses in Alytus) at the exhibition-contest “The Best Project of the Year”, along with G. Natkevičius.
2005 – for the best reconstruction (“Pentacom” administrative and warehousing premises) at the exhibition-contest “The Best Project of the Year”, along with Mantas Mickevičius, G. Natkevičius.
2005 – nomination “Acquainted among Colleagues” (for the implemented project of a residential house in Utrių village, Klaipėda region) at the exhibition “Architecture of Lithuanian Private Houses”, along with Raimondas Babrauskas and G. Natkevičius.
2005 – METRE 1/5 (for the residential house in Utrių village) at the exhibition “A Look at Oneself”, along with R. Babrauskas, G. Natkevičius.
2010 – Kaunas Business Centre 1000 - among 170 best office buildings of the world constructed during the latter 5 years. It has been included into the prestigious architectural album "Collection: Offices".
