Pranas Griušys was born in Klaipėda district, Medsėdžiai village on May 23, 1955. In 1976- 1982 he studied at the State Art Institute in Vilnius and gained the painter-teacher’s specialty. In 1976 he worked as an artist at Palanga trade board, from 1982 he has been lecturing at Vilnius Academy of Arts, Kaunas Art Faculty (professor, head of the Visual Art Department, head of the Painting Studio). He is a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union since 1988. The artist works in the field of painting.
