Patricija Gilytė was born in Kaunas in 1972. In 1991-96 she studied at Vilnius Academy of Arts, Kaunas Art Institute, in the Department of Ceramics and Glass. Between 1997-2004 she studied at Munich Academy of Fine Arts, in the class of ceramics and sculpture. From 2006 the painter has been working as a visiting lecturer at Kaunas Art Institute of VAA. From 2002 she belongs to Ebersberg Artists’ Association, from 2007 – to the Lithuanian Artists’ Association. She is a member of the creative organisation Kunstraum München. She is working in the field of inter-disciplinary art, she also curates exhibition projects.
