Gintaras Balčytis was born in Kaunas on March 7, 1960. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of Vilnius Engineering Construction Institute in 1985. G.Balčytis worked at the Agricultural Projects Institute till 1992 and has been a member of the company Dviejų Grupė from 1994. He was the head of Kaunas Branch of the Lithuanian Architects’ Union in 2005-2008. G.Balčytis designs public buildings, dwelling houses, multi-apartment buildings, creates projects of ideas.
