Vilhelmas Vaičekauskas is a unique pearl of scene episodes in the live history of the Lithuanian theatre, the evaluators of which applauded to him joyfully and still forgot to thank him.
V.Vaičekauskas was born in Padubysis, Jurbarkas region on January 23, 1936. In 1957-1960 he studied at J.Gruodis Music School, Drama Department (lecturers - A.Mackevičius, K.Jurašūnas, A.Gabrėnas).
In 1959-1964 he worked at Kapsukas (now Marijampolė) and Kaunas Puppet Theatres, in 1965-1970 – at the State Youth Theatre, in 1971-1973 – at Vilnius Theatre “Lėlė”. Since 1973 he has been working at Kaunas State Academic Drama Theatre.
