Tautvyda Marcinkevičiūtė-Patackienė was born in Kaunas on July 31, 1955. Between 1974-1979 she studied the English language and literature at Vilnius University. She is constantly publishing poetry and translations (literature, drama) in the press. The translation of the book of Hugh Prather “Notes for Myself: My Attempts to Become a Personality“ was issued by Trigrama in 1998. T. Marcinkevičiūtė also worked at the excursions bureau of Kaunas. From 1991 she is a member of the Lithuanian Writers’ Union.
