Rimantas Antanas Šulskis was born in Kaunas on July 3, 1943. In 1963 he graduated from Kaunas 2nd Secondary School and worked at Kaunas Pramprojektas. In 1964 -1967 he served in the army. In the period of 1967-1968 R.A.Šulskis worked as a technician – drawer at Kaunas Industry and Construction Design Institute. In 1968 – 1974 he studied at the State Art Institute (Vilnius) in the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Sculpture. In 1974 he finished the studies and was conferred the qualification of a sculptor – teacher. From 1975 to 1989 the artist worked at Kaunas Children Art School. He died in 1995.

Rimantas Antanas Šulskis has refined the technique of copper chasing, which is original in Lithuanian and global art. The heritage of the artist encompasses graphic works and paintings as well.
