In brief: Extracts from mise-en-sc`enes of the performance of Oskaras Koršunovas “Banishment” staged according to the play of the playwright Marius Ivaškevičius are presented.

December 18, Sunday. Workshop of decorations

One of the fragments of the rehearsal:

The scene when Eglė asks to get to the night club in London persistently, where Ben works as a security man. Ainis wears the representational suit of the security man. He is unrecognisable. One more mask of Ben... They rehearse in an incredible way. Everybody is silent around. Only the desperate lament of Vaičiulytė is heard. I suddenly feel that the borders of the rehearsal disappear. I become stoned thinking where in this world Monika would like to get, which door she would like to open. I do not doubt that it is vitally important for her to get there at any price. It is an inconvenient and uncomfortable scene. No doubt, I believe that it is now that the courage of Monika to state everything about herself on the stage opens up. This is the way she puts a stamp on the tragedy of the play of Marius Ivaškevičius and the character of Eglė.
