Gražina Janulytė – Bernotienė was born in Kaunas on April 27, 1951. She graduated from Kaunas J. Naujalis Secondary School in 1968 and finished the studies at Vilnius Engineering and Construction Institute in 1973. In 1975 – 1980 she obtained the post-graduate degree at the Lithuanian Construction and Architecture Scientific Research Institute in Kaunas (LSAMTI). In 1973 – 1995 she worked as the head of the architects’ group at Kaunas City Construction and Design Institute. From 1993 the architect has been heading a private architecture and design studio. She is a lecturer at Kaunas University of Technology, Department of Architecture and Landscape Management (Docent), a member of the Lithuanian Architects’ Union, Kaunas Branch, a member of Kaunas Urbanism and Architecture Council. She participates in the preparation of republic seminars and exhibitions, while solving issues of Kaunas city urbane management, search for architectural ideas and quality actively.

2000 – 3rd prize in KNAUF contest “For Functionality of KNAUF System”.

2002 – 1st prize in KNAUF contest “For Čiurlionis Culture”.

2003 – diploma at the exhibition of architectural design “Detail” “For professionally, architecturally perfectly and irreproachably implemented interior details at M.K.Čiurlionis Art Gallery in Kaunas”.

2003 – diploma at the exhibition “Lithuanian Architecture: Look at Oneself“ “For the Reconstruction of M.K.Čiurlionis Gallery in Kaunas”.
