Edmundas Saladžius was born in Kaunas on June 16, 1950. In 1968 he graduated from Kaunas Secondary Art School. In 1968-74 he studied at the State Art Institute where he obtained the graphic's specialty. In 1975-92 he worked as a teacher at Kaunas children art four-year school. From 1992 he is a lecturer of Kaunas Art Institute of Vilnius Art Academy: a docent from 1993, rector between 1996-99, professor from 2003. He is the head of the Graphics Department of Kaunas Art Institute. Edmundas Saladžius is a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union from 1985. He works in the fields of engraving, posters, book graphics.
