Andrius Žiurauskas was born on April 7, 1976. He belonged to the Lithuanian National Theatre studio in Kaunas headed by the artistic director Mamertas Karklelis for 10 years.

In 1994 he entered the Lithuanian Music Academy, specialty of TV direction (course supervisor -Vytautas Čibiras). After a year he refused the studies in the Academy and entered the Lithuanian Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Philology, extramural studies department – the 2nd course of the Lithuanian language and literature teacher's specialty. Here he studied till 2000 but did not finish the studies. He worked at Kaunas Panemunė Main School as the deputy director. He also participated in competitions of readers.

In 1996 Andrius Žiurauskas was invited to work as an actor at Kaunas Puppet Theatre. During nine years he has created about 30 roles in performances of various artistic directors. He also acted in performances of Kaunas Youth Chamber, Kaunas Small Theatre.

In 1998 he was elected the Chairman of the Lithuanian Theatre Union, Kaunas Puppet Theatre Branch.

In 2000 Andrius Žiurauskas was awarded with Fortune diploma for the debut in artistic direction – the performance of Daiva Čepauskaitė “When a Star is Falling” (artist S.Bocullo) at Kaunas Puppet Theatre. He was evaluated by Fortune diploma again for the acting in the performance of Jūratė Januškevičiūtė “Stories of Homestead”. From 2000 he directed the performance of E.Matulaitė “Devil in Wedding”, theatrical improvisation “Great Puppet Show”, performance of Daiva Čepauskaitė “Beauty and Monster” and “There will be no Storm”, theatre improvisation “Great Kaunas revue”, performance-game “Bold Hare”, performance – rock opera “Wolf and Goatlings” (according to the work of Šarūnė Kapenytė, winner of Young playwrights competition) at Kaunas Puppet Theatre.

In 2001 Andrius Žiurauskas entered Jaroslavl State Theatre Institute (Russia), specialty of artistic direction in a puppet theatre. In 2005 he defended the diploma cum laude.

In 2004 he was elected the President of the Lithuanian Branch of the International Puppeteers' Organisation UNIMA.

He is one of the organisers of the festival "Hanza Kaunas".

Andrius Žiurauskas is the Chairman of the Lithuanian Theatre Union, Kaunas Branch, from 2008.

He also acted at Kaunas Youth Chamber Theatre, Kaunas Small Theatre, Domino theatre.

The actor has created roles in feature films "Zero 2" (2010), "Redirected" (2014), "Nepatyręs" (2015).

The newest role is Kauman, who made a debut during the opening festival of Kaunas professional arts website www.kamane.lt on October 3, 2005.
