Kaunas inhabitants to be astonished by performance festival Diverse Universe 0
The nomadic performance festival Diverse Universe travelling through the East-South-West and North Europe, uniting artists from all-across the World will return to Kaunas this year again. The festival sharing high quality Performance Art and Live Art with audiences from all over Europe in different cities will present the new programme, live art born here and now. Free shows will be presented at Kaunas Kultūra café (Donelaičio St. 16) on March 22 at 7 pm.
The group of Estonian artists Non Grata has been travelling across Europe and presenting new performances since 2005. The purpose of the group is to return freedom, experiments, non-conformism and creativity to art. This time Non Grata will present Chinese, Japanese, US and Finnish artists. Members of the group Non Grata (Anonymous Boh, Devil Girl, Little Tom), Sho Kun, Vigi Hua, Hiroko Tsuchimoto, Oija, 2Shea, Triste Sire participate in the festival.
The Lithuanian performance art is represented by one of the most original and eccentric Lithuanian creators, avant-garde artist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, writer, poet, performance artist Ramūnas Jaras, the pianist and sound artist Gailė Griciūtė, jazz trumpeter, improviser, winner of many international and national competitions and festivals Dominykas Vyšniauskas. Also, Andrius Tamašauskas will make his debut on the stage of Diverse Universe as a creator of performances.
