Hygin Delimat is a dancer, choreographer and a performance artist from Poland at the moment residing in Austria. In his works artists combines yoga, the Fendelkrais method, break dance. In Lithuania H. Delimat presents Kaunas Dance Theatre Aura performance "White on White." Before the premiere choreographer agreed to share his ideas and future plans.

"Dance performance "White on White" is the fruit of a continuing process. Every work of art is an entirety of micro processes that last for 3 to 5 months. So "White on White" is a microprocess. Why do I use the ideas of cubism and supremaism in this performance? They come from my roots - I grew up in a post-soviet country.

I explore the possibilities of my body. That is why I use the Fendelkrais method, yoga, break dance; because these practices show me how the possibilities of human body can be expanded. The Western culture always separates body from the soul, but the Fendelkrais teaching system says that they are one. When I make a move, I make it not only with my body but with my whole being.

This year I have planned many projects - both collective and solo. One of the biggest plans, thought, is to visit Africa. I have been thinking about it for over a year. I want to see Uganda. I have met a girl from Uganda in Vienna and I was fascinated by her openness, warmth, optimism, so I want to find out where it all comes from.

My main plan and one of the goals is to give back the lost feelings and emotions to people. Art nowadays should offer people sensations that they have lost when they started using advanced technologies."

Aura's performance "White on White" will take place at the Vytautas Magnus University hall (S. Daukanto St. 28, Kaunas) on the 24th of January, 6 pm.
